ides update…

onions, leeks and shallots are up! also, many perennial herbs and flowers have sprouted. spring is on its way! i will be accepting orders beginning march 20…coming right up! download the order form (a google doc) add your order and info and email it back. contact me if you have questions.

a couple other new additions this year are:
white sagebrush/prairie sage Artemisia ludoviciana…the ceremonial sage for smudge sticks. it is a perennial native to mid-western and western states. in addition, it attracts many beneficial pollinator insects. it will spread by rhizomes like many artemisias so be aware of that in your plantings.
blue sage Salvia azurea…an easy to grow, clear blue flowering sage. it gets quite tall and will flop over if in too rich soil. grow with asters and goldenrods. loved by bees and butterflies, including monarchs.
both come from prairie moon nursery, who sell native plants and seeds!
